Courtyard Garden &
Native Habitat Learning Garden
Parent and Site Based Liaison, David Kuchta, worked with school administrators, parents, teachers and students to instill an extensive Courtyard Garden at their new school. Different classes have adopted sections of the garden for planting and growing vegetables. An outdoor classroom, made of recycled granite curbing, is built into the center of the garden. There is also an International Garden, planted with perennials that represent different countries and integrating the school’s commitment to the International Baccalaureate program.
The school also hopes to transform a rain garden into a vibrant Native Habitat Learning Garden, complete with a weather station and seating.
